The evening will be filled with variety and fun, opening with the guests of honor, The Ventura Collage Jazz Ensemble taking to the stage first set. Directed by Professor Fundi Legohn, we can expect the room to be filled with musical magic as they guide the audience through a journey of swing, bebop, Latin and more.
Then, second and third sets comes the ever favorite, House Arrest Band. This time with the added treat of five guest artists including: Colene Riffo, Annette DiNardo, Bekkie Ramirez, Renee “Red” Perez and Johnny Jacinto. Expect jazzy, funky, r & b, old-school tunes to move the room to dance. It is highly advised that if you want to come on out, get tickets early to ensure a spot.

This turned out to be an amazing event and Mr. Nava couldn’t have been more elated, performing to a sold out room and on stage with some of his best musical friends.
The evening included loads of recognition for Henry for his decades of performance. Folks came from miles around for this momentous occasion – some from far norther California and far southern California all there to witness Henry take the first bite of his celebratory cake and receive his Certification of Appreciation.
No question, Henry Nava will return to share more of his musical skill sometime in the future. For now, let’s all extend a big congratulations to this undeniable master of music for the many, many stages he’s graced over the more than 80 years of performing.
